The Division for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Partnerships (UNOP), is organizing the first 2016 Partnership Exchange event on 18 July 2016, Conference Room 1, United Nations Headquarters, New York on the occasion of the 2016 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
ustainable Development Goal 17 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - "Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development" - recognizes multi-stakeholder partnerships as important vehicles for mobilizing and sharing knowledge, expertise, technologies and financial resources to support the achievement of the sustainable development goals in all countries, particularly developing countries.
